dolphin braid

 

let me first explain the name of this braid.   my son named it.   explaination over.

ok, you can probably figure this out by looking at it but  . . 

section off the center from front to about half way back.   then section off two sections on each side.   braid your sides first but not to the end.   your just going to take it past the head a bit and band it to hold it.  you'll take the bands off again to braid it in.

 

after you braid the sides, start the center braid and as you get to the side braids, take off the band and add the end into your center braid.

 after it's all braided, weave the braid around the bottom section of the braid on the head.   tuck your ends in.
