experiment with a chain braid

now, this one is an experiment that hasn't actually done a day at school.   i saw a post of this chain braid but it didn't have instructions so i just wanted to see if i could figure out how to do it.

ponytail.

divide pony into 4

twist two of the opposite sections of the pony.
cross them between the other two sections

twist the other 2 section the opposite direction and cross them between the first 2 sections.

continue crossing, make sure you twist the opposite sections in the opposite direction or they will twist together and not give you the chain look.

that's the basics of it.   i'll play with it again another day and post if we get better results.   til then, good luck with this funky look.
